I graduated in 1993 from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) with a BFA majoring in Art Education and minoring in Sculpture.
I have spent the last 20 years teaching what I Love.......ART!
In 1998 I created my business, Art Explosions which provided Children's Murals, Decorative Wall art, Art Classes funded by PTAs and/or Grants, and summer art camps at my home studio. see www.artexplosions.webs.com to see more about Art Explosions!

In 2005, I decided to start painting on CANVAS. I have participated in numerous juried shows and I have had 3 major shows with fellow artists.

In 2008 I created my finest masterpiece...... my Daughter, Brooke! She is the Hot pink on my palette! Brooke is now in Kindergarten and I am now in my studio taking time to explore, investigate, and create!

In 2012 My Daughter and I painted POD IV together and it won second place in the Virginia Regional Show! I am convinced it was the finger nail polish she added!!!! :)

Tango and Waltz

These two pieces represent the tango and the Waltz of fighting cancer. Dedicated to one of my best friends mother, Vergie Bishop who lost her battle and a good friend of mine Tracy Gilland, who won her battle. ​
